About WD Blue, Black & Green SSD
SSD failures are different from hard drive failures: there are no clicking noises, the drive simply disappears or reports zero capacity. Recovery depends on the controller and whether hardware encryption is active, and TRIM means deleted files are usually unrecoverable. We work on SATA and NVMe WD drives with controller-level tools.

Frequently asked questions
Can you recover deleted files from my WD SSD?
Rarely. TRIM clears deleted data quickly on SSDs. Backups and cloud copies are usually the best option.
My SN850X stopped being detected. Is it recoverable?
Often. Controller or firmware faults are common causes, and many can be worked around in our lab.
What happens after I send the drive in?
We carry out a professional evaluation (£94.80), then send you a fixed quote and a list of recoverable files before any recovery work is charged.
