The ThinkPad T series is the workhorse of corporate IT. We repair, upgrade and recover data from every recent T model, from the T480 to the T14 Gen 5, T14s and T16.
About the ThinkPad T series
The T14 replaced the T490 in 2020, the T15 replaced the T590, and the T16 replaced the T15 in 2022. The T14s and T490s are the slimmer versions, with memory soldered to the board.
Many T14s from Gen 1 to Gen 4 have part of their memory soldered and one free slot, so the upgrade path depends on the exact model.

Frequently asked questions
Can you upgrade a batch of these for our office?
Yes. SSD and memory upgrades, new batteries and a clean Windows build can give a fleet another few years. We can do them in batches, in the workshop or on-site.
Can you recover data from a laptop with BitLocker on?
Yes, as long as you can give us the BitLocker recovery key. Business keys are usually stored in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory or your Microsoft account.
How do I find my exact ThinkPad model?
The machine type (four characters such as 20L5 or 21CB) is on the label underneath. Enter the serial number on Lenovo’s support site to see the exact build.
