About the ThinkPad E & L series
The E series is the entry ThinkPad; the L series sits between it and the T series. Most have one or two memory slots and a removable SSD, so upgrades are straightforward.
Model names moved from E480/E580 and L480/L580 to E14/E15 and L14/L15 in 2020, then to 16-inch E16 and L16 models.

Can you upgrade a batch of these for our office?
Yes. SSD and memory upgrades, new batteries and a clean Windows build can give a fleet another few years. We can do them in batches, in the workshop or on-site.
Do E series ThinkPads take a memory upgrade?
Most do: many have part of the memory soldered and one free slot. We check your exact model before ordering.
How do I find my exact ThinkPad model?
The machine type (four characters such as 20L5 or 21CB) is on the label underneath. Enter the serial number on Lenovo’s support site to see the exact build.
