HP EliteBook 850 and 860 repair
The large-screen EliteBooks: the 15.6-inch 850 and its 16-inch replacement, the 860. Screens, keyboards, batteries, boards and data recovery for every generation.
About the EliteBook 850 & 860
HP replaced the 15.6-inch EliteBook 850 with the 16-inch, 16:10 EliteBook 860 from the G9 generation. The AMD versions are the 855 and 865.
The bigger chassis takes more knocks on desks and in bags, so hinges and screens are common repairs.

Frequently asked questions
Can you upgrade a batch of these for our office?
Yes. SSD and memory upgrades, new batteries and a clean Windows build can give a fleet another few years. We can do them in batches, in the workshop or on-site.
Can you recover data from a laptop with BitLocker on?
Yes, as long as you can give us the BitLocker recovery key. Business keys are usually stored in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory or your Microsoft account.
How do I find my exact HP model?
The model name and the product number are on the label underneath, and in the HP Support Assistant app. The serial number on HP’s support site shows the exact build.
