About the Latitude 7000 Series 14–16"

The 14-inch 7480 and 7490 are still in use across the UK thanks to their solid build and upgradeable memory. Later models moved to slimmer designs, the 7400 2-in-1 added a convertible option, and the 7455 brought Snapdragon processors. The 15- and 16-inch 7520, 7530, 7640 and 7650 suit staff who need more screen space.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Latitude 7490 still worth upgrading?

Often yes. It takes standard memory and an M.2 SSD, so an upgrade and new battery can give it several more years of office use.

My 7420 asks for a BitLocker key after an update. Is the data lost?

No. Enter the recovery key from your Microsoft account or IT department. If you cannot find it, contact us before trying anything else.

How do I find my exact Dell model number?

It is printed on the label underneath the laptop, shown in Windows under Settings > System > About, and listed on Dell’s support site when you enter your Service Tag.
