About Seagate Exos & Enterprise HDD
Constellation drives (to 2016) and Exos drives (since 2017) are built for servers, with helium-filled designs from around 8TB upwards. Helium drives need extra care in the clean room because the sealed environment matters to the mechanism. Many servers use SAS versions with different connectors and firmware from desktop drives.
