About the MacBook Pro 14" & 16"
All of these have storage and memory soldered to the board. A failed board means the files can only be reached by repairing it, which we do in-house.
Their mini-LED screens are expensive, so we always check the display cable and backlight first.

Frequently asked questions
Can you replace just the glass on a MacBook Pro screen?
No. On these models the glass and panel come as one display assembly, so the whole display is replaced.
Can you recover data from a liquid-damaged MacBook Pro?
Often, yes, by repairing the logic board until it boots. Switch it off and bring it in as soon as possible.
How do I find my MacBook model number?
The A-number (for example A2337) is printed in small text on the underside. Apple menu > About This Mac shows the year and size.
