About QNAP TS Series 2–4 Bay
QNAP units were targeted by the Qlocker ransomware in 2021 and DeadBolt in 2022, both of which encrypted files on internet-exposed NAS units. Some TS-x51 and TS-x53 models with Intel Celeron processors are also known for board failures that stop them booting. In both cases, recovery starts from the drives themselves.

My TS-451 will not boot. Is the data safe?
