DataTraveler sticks and Canvas cards are recoverable in most failure situations, including snapped and water-damaged devices. IronKey drives are different: they use hardware encryption with brute-force protection, and after too many wrong passwords they deliberately erase themselves. No lab can bypass that – recovery is possible only with the correct password on a working drive.

Can you unlock an IronKey without the password?
No. IronKey encryption is designed so that nobody can bypass it, and repeated wrong attempts erase the drive.
Can a snapped DataTraveler be recovered?
Usually, if the memory chip is undamaged.
