HGST Ultrastar enterprise and helium drive recovery
Ultrastar drives run in servers, SANs and large NAS units. We recover failed Ultrastar SATA and SAS drives, including helium He-series models.
About HGST Ultrastar Enterprise
HGST pioneered helium-filled hard drives with the Ultrastar He6 in 2013. Helium drives are sealed rather than vented, so clean-room work on them requires particular care. Since 2018 these drives have continued as WD Ultrastar DC models.

Frequently asked questions
Can helium drives be repaired?
Yes, but they need specialist clean-room procedures. Never open one yourself.
Is a WD Ultrastar DC the same as HGST Ultrastar?
It is the continuation of the same range under the Western Digital name.
What happens after I send the drive in?
We carry out a professional evaluation (£94.80), then send you a fixed quote and a list of recoverable files before any recovery work is charged.
