Drobo business NAS and iSCSI SAN data recovery
Drobo’s business range – DroboPro, B800, B810 and B1200i – was used for file servers, VMware storage and backups. We recover iSCSI volumes and NAS shares from all of them.
About Drobo Business: B810n, B800i & B1200i
The iSCSI models (DroboPro, DroboElite, B800i, B810i and B1200i) present storage to servers as block devices, so the data inside is usually a VMware VMFS, Windows NTFS or other server file system on top of BeyondRAID. Recovery means rebuilding BeyondRAID first, then the LUN, then the file system inside it. NAS models (B800fs and B810n) share files directly.

Years are approximate sales periods. Drobo stopped trading around 2022, but we still recover every model.
Frequently asked questions
Can you recover a VMware datastore from a B1200i?
Yes. We rebuild BeyondRAID, extract the LUN and then recover the virtual machine files from VMFS.
Our B810n failed and support no longer exists. What now?
Send us the drives (labelled by bay) and the unit. We rebuild the pack independently of the Drobo hardware.
What happens after I send the drive in?
